Veteran's Day '10

On Rememberance Day in Toronto, I always remember everyone stopping what they were doing on 11:11. "In Flander's Field" was read over the intercom, and for a week or two before, everyone wore a poppy in their lapel. Today I was in the mall with Jeremy at 11:11, looked at my phone and told him about what we typically did. No one stopped what they were doing, in fact it was fairly busy because a lot of kids had no school today. We simply do not remember the fallen and those who served like we should. In Israel, Yom Hazikaron is one of the saddest, most sombre days of the year, in the U.S. it's an opportunity to buy a really great mattress on sale.
